CAD data for two Rapiro boards are now open source
Tokyo, JAPAN - March 2, 2016 - Switch Science was releasing the CAD drawing data of two circuit boards included in Rapiro robot kit. At the same time, Switch Science released STL data of Raspberry Pi 2 Model B Mounting Plate for Rapiro, a plastic part launched in October 2015. Above data will be available to everyone for download from March 2 on the Rapiro official page. (http://www.rapiro.com/downloads/)
The data available for download from March 2:
- Rapiro main board CAD data for schematic and layout
- Rapiro LED board CAD data for schematic and layout
- STL data of the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B Mounting Plate for Rapiro
Rapiro main board and Rapiro LED Board
The Rapiro main board controls 12 servo motors for the neck, arms, and legs of Rapiro. This board is compatible with Arduino and can be developed using Arduino IDE. The Rapiro LED board has LED which lights up Rapiro’s eyes brightly. Rapiro LED board can be controlled by Rapiro board.
Up to now, only schematics of two Rapiro boards have been available in PDF. The newly released data is created using the Eagle CAD software. This CAD data enables Rapiro users alter design of Rapiro boards and make the board.
